Installation and reference manual for the Channel Vision A0320 Micro-USB Bluetooth® Wall Dock — an on-wall Bluetooth docking station for distributed audio systems that charges a Micro-USB device and streams audio via a standard RCA line-level output.
The A0320 is an on-wall Bluetooth docking station that charges a Micro-USB device. The non-skid pad helps hold the music player in place. Its elegant, contemporary design makes it perfect for enjoying music without defacing your wall.
The A0320 Wall Dock connects to the A0320 Output Wall Plate via CAT5 cable — up to 350 feet — feeding a whole-house audio system.
The A0320 connects via CAT5 to an A0350 Aria flush-mount amplifier by Channel Vision, which drives speakers and can accept IR and 24VDC connections. A single-gang trim plate can hold a single-gang keypad next to the dock in a 3-gang junction box (see trim plate installation above). When used with the A0350, the A0129 keypad can control volume up/down on the dock.
The A0320 can be wired through an AB-412 1x4 A-BUS Distribution Module for multi-zone distribution, connecting to Zone 1/Zone 2 outputs and an AB-134 amplifier module to power room speakers. Use speaker wire rated for in-wall use — AWG 18 or larger is recommended. Be sure to wire speakers in phase (+ terminal on the AB-134 to the + or red terminal on each speaker).
In some installations it may be desirable to mount a single-gang control keypad next to the A0320. Use the correct installation tools (J-110 tool or 110 crimp tool):
Disconnect the Bluetooth connection from the device's Bluetooth menu. If you walk away, the dock will automatically disconnect from the device within 30 seconds.
Disconnect the currently paired dock, then turn on Bluetooth on the new pairing device, scan, select "Android Dock-XXXX," and enter the default PIN code (1234) to pair.
Note: Maximum charging voltage is 5VDC 500mA. Do not plug in a device such as a tablet computer to this dock — doing so can cause damage to either device and will void the warranty.

| Audio quality issues | Verify the CAT5 cable is wired correctly to the TIA-568A standard at both ends. Verify speakers are connected in phase (out-of-phase speakers rob bass, especially with dual-voice-coil speakers). Check the audio source is playing and the keypad power button is on. |
| Hum in system | Plug all system parts into the same outlet, or try a ground-lifting plug. Different electrical grounds across components can create alternate current paths causing an audible 60Hz hum. Solution: plug products into a circuit with a common ground. |
| Device not charging (system not powering on) | Bypass your wiring and test with a pre-made CAT5 cable to your breakout plate. Check the power supply with a volt meter (center positive). Carefully spread the center pin inside the female power connector on the breakout plate if needed. |
Additional tips: The A0320 provides 5VDC charging voltage — the device screen should indicate charging. Confirm power is reaching the volume control keypad (press volume buttons to see if LEDs light). Maximum recommended wire length between wall dock and breakout plate is 350 feet — greater distances may cause erratic performance from CAT5 power loss.

Use a proper stripping tool such as Channel Vision's J-110 tool: place the CAT-5 between the blade and the first notch, rotate the tool only one turn (multiple turns will cut into the inner wires), then inspect the inner wires for damage — start over if any wires are cut.
