Full instruction manual for the Channel Vision A0240, a compact 2-channel 40-watt Class D stereo amplifier.
Full instruction manual for the Channel Vision A0240, a compact 2-channel 40-watt Class D stereo amplifier used to power small audio systems or add supplemental power to low-power distributed audio setups.
The A0240 can be used to power a small 1-room audio system, or integrated with Channel Vision's A0302 speaker-to-line-level converter to provide supplemental power to low-power distributed audio systems. Its compact size makes it easy to hide, and its versatile power plug allows direct wall plug-in or tabletop operation using the detachable power cable.
The A0302 speaker-to-line-level converter is the perfect complement to the A0240. Using the Amp-Link connection, the A0302 can interrupt speaker-level audio from a low-power distributed system, convert it to line level to drive the A0240, and the amplified audio (40 watts/channel) is returned through the Amp-Link cable to power the speakers. Set the A0302's switch to "SPKRS IN" and place the switch in L/R mode to enable this configuration.
The A0240 can also interrupt a whole-house audio source to amplify a local source device (such as a portable music player or TV). Adjust the trim pots to set the local source input sensitivity. Local source audio devices should have a variable audio output — use the device's own volume control to change the speaker volume level.
The A0240 pairs well with Channel Vision's HomePlug audio devices: the HP-300 transmitter distributes an audio source through the home's electrical wiring, and the HP-350 receiver outputs that audio to an amplifier such as the A0240. Use the remote provided with the HP-350 to adjust speaker volume levels.
