    Specification sheet for the ABB-Welcome M2305 Switch Actuator — controls equipment such as doorbells, garage doors, or lights within an ABB-Welcome door communication system.

    Overview

    This compact device has three working modes: extend doorbell, door opener, and time relay. It can also extend the doorbell function. Up to 199 switch actuators can be implemented in a single ABB-Welcome system, and each can be triggered remotely by dialing a code from a connected telephone gateway or indoor station. A local pushbutton can be connected as a control input, and the switching duration for unlocking or turning on lights is adjustable. The device can be flush-mounted or DIN rail mounted via the DIN adaptor (Catalog no. 53001DR).

    Control Overview

    • Terminal resistor ON/OFF — set based on system topology.
    • Mode switchover button — toggles between the actuator's operating modes.
    • Rotary switches for addressing — assign a unique address (1–199) to the actuator.
    • Bus in/out — connects to the ABB-Welcome system bus.
    • Pushbutton connection — for an exit button or doorbell input.
    • Relay switching time adjustment — sets how long the output stays active.
    • Floating output — drives a door opener or light circuit.
