    Keypad Indication

    The LCD keypad is the primary system interface and reports its status via LCD icons:

    Icon State Meaning
    Power On System operating properly from AC power, backup battery good, no troubles.
    Off No power.
    Slow Flash System is being programmed.
    Rapid Flash System trouble.
    Ready On System is ready to be armed.
    Off System is not ready to be armed.
    Slow Flash Ready while exit/entry zone is open.
    Arm On Armed in Full Arm or Stay Arm mode.
    Off Disarmed.
    Slow Flash System is in Exit Delay.
    Rapid Flash Alarm condition.
    Stay/Bypass On Stay Arm or Zone Bypass mode.
    Off No bypass zones in the system.
    Tamper On Zone/keypad/external module has been tampered.
    Off All zones operating normally.
    Fire On Fire alarm.
    Off Normal operation.
    Flashing Fire circuit problem.

    LCD Status Display

    The LCD status display varies by number of partitions. A single-partition system shows partition name, time, and date. Systems with two or three partitions show the system name, date, time, and status of each partition. Status letters:

    • A: Partition Armed
    • S: Partition Stay Armed
    • N: Partition Not Ready
    • R: Partition Ready
    • L: Partition in Alarm

    LCD Blank Display

    If defined by your installer, two minutes after the last keypad operation the keypad disables and shows "Enter code:" To release the keypad and return to normal operation, enter a user code and press the confirm key. Note: During blank display mode, the Ready LED indicates a trouble in the system.

    Editing User Codes

    1. From the main display, press the menu key.
    2. Enter the master code (default code 1234) and press confirm.
    3. Using the arrow keys, scroll to Codes/Tags and press select.
    4. Scroll to Define and press select.
    5. Select the User Index number and press select.
    6. Select Edit Code and press select.
    7. Enter the new code and press confirm.
    8. To edit the user label, scroll to Edit Label and enter the new label.
    9. Repeat for additional codes.

    Assigning Proximity Tags

    1. From the main display, press the menu key.
    2. Enter the master code (default code 1234) and press confirm.
    3. Using the arrow keys, scroll to Codes/Tags and press select.
    4. Scroll to Define and press select.
    5. Select the User Index number and press select.
    6. Select (Re)Write Tag and press select.
    7. Within 10 seconds, hold the proximity tag near the keypad.

    Setting and Changing the System Time and Date

    1. From the main display, press the menu key.
    2. Enter the master code (default code 1234) and press confirm.
    3. Using the arrow keys, scroll to Clock and press select.
    4. When the display shows Time and Date, press select.
    5. Enter the current time (24-hour format) and date, using the arrow keys to move the cursor and toggle values.
    6. Press confirm to save your settings.

    Telephone Control Commands

    Note: This feature is available only if your 2GIG Vario System is equipped with the 2GIG Vario Voice Module.

    Receiving a Call

    1. Pick up the phone.
    2. Say "Hello" and press #. You'll hear an event announcement message.
    3. Choose an option from the Acknowledgment menu:

    Access the Operations menu 3 > User Code > #
    Listen and talk 6 > 3 > User Code
    Repeat the event message #
    Repeat the Acknowledgment menu *

    Calling the System

    1. Dial the premises phone number. If there's an answering machine, let it ring once, hang up, and call again. If no answering machine, wait for the system to pick up (you'll hear a continuous tone).
    2. After the tones, enter the two-digit remote access code.
    3. Enter your user code and press #.
    4. Choose an option from the Operations menu:

    Arm all partitions 1 > 1
    Arm by partition 1 > 9 > Partition Number
    Disarm all partitions 2 > 2
    Disarm by partition 2 > 9 > Partition Number
    Change zone bypass 3 > Zone Number > # > 9
    Operate utility outputs 4 > Utility Output Number
    Change Follow Me numbers 5 > Follow Me Number > # > 2 > New Phone Number > # > 1
    Listen in 6 > 1
    Talk 6 > 2
    Listen and talk 6 > 3
    Record messages 7
    Exit the system 0
    Repeat the Operations menu #
    Return to the previous menu *
