Monitor For Leaks in 2 Separate Areas and Limit Potential Water Damage
Obtain everything you need to install an automatic flood prevention system at once with the WaterCop Flood Prevention Kit! This kit includes a WaterCop Electric Actuator Motor, two WaterCop Wireless Flood Sensor, 1 Probe, and a WaterCop Water Shut-Off Valve for 1” Pipe, Lead Free. The WaterCop System provides your home with round-the-clock indoor leak and flood detection and protection. The system consists of wired and wireless flood sensors, On/Off control switches, and a main control device consisting of an actuator motor and ball valve mounted on your main water line that all work together to detect leaks from your plumbing system or excessive water in selected areas and automatically shut off the water supply to help reduce and/or minimize the chances of major water damage. A WaterCop automatic water shut-off valve system is compatible with most home security and home automation systems via ethernet connection.
- Actuator Motor receives and responds to trigger signals from wireless flood sensor(s), control switches, and compatible security and automation systems
- Open/Close valve control buttons allow for on-demand manual operation
- Color-coded LEDs indicate current valve position
- Pairs with 418 MHz wireless sensors up to 200 feet away
- Optionally integrates into a security/automation system via RS232 connections
- 418 MHz water detection sensor alerts WaterCop Actuator Motor or Interface of detected leaks to paired WaterCop Motor up to 200 feet away
- Unlimited number of sensors can be paired with a single WaterCop Motor
- Flood sensor is powered by 2 AA batteries or optional AC adapter (DQWPA, sold separately)
- 1” ⌀ Shut-Off Valve installs on your indoor main water supply line with a WaterCop Actuator Motor or Interface to Open/Close when prompted
- Shut-Off Valve can be installed at any stage of construction or easily retrofitted to existing plumbing
- NSF 61 rated valve and complies with Uniform Plumbing Code
The WaterCop Electric Actuator Motor controls a connected shut-off valve (sold separately) to shut off your water supply when it receives alert signals from a paired WaterCop flood sensor or control switch (sold separately), limiting the spread of leaks and minimizing damage to your property. The Actuator Motor receives signals via 418 MHz transmissions from compatible flood sensors up to 200 feet away or via ethernet cable from a wired Water Control Wall Switch or compatible security or automation system. Once the motor seals your main water line, it will not open until you press the “Open” button located on its face. The motor also allows you to manually close the connected shut-off valve by pressing the “Close” button. Multiple WaterCop systems may be installed in a single home and operate independently by adjusting digital security codes via dip switches located behind the motor’s cover.
The WaterCop Wireless Flood Sensor, 1 Probe is a 418 MHz wireless water detecting sensor that reports the presence of water to a paired WaterCop Actuator or Interface in order to close your main water line and protect your home and belongings from water damage caused by leaks or ruptures from your plumbing system. This sensor includes a built-in 418 MHz transmitter and one sensor probe with twin gold prongs at the end of a 6-foot wire. When the Wireless Flood Sensor detects water through its attached probe, it wirelessly alerts a nearby WaterCop Actuator Motor within 200 ft to seal the main water line.
The WaterCop Water Shut-Off Valve, Lead Free connects directly with a WaterCop Electric Actuator Motor (sold separately) to close and open your main water line. When a paired WaterCop flood sensor, Water Control Switch, or smart security system notifies the WaterCop Actuator Motor of a detected leak, the WaterCop Motor will close the Shut-off Valve.
How the System Works
Flood sensors constantly monitor their selected areas for accumulating moisture. When a leak is detected, a sensor sends a wireless radio frequency signal to the WaterCop motor, instructing it to activate the valve to shut off the water supply to the home. Once shut, the WaterCop valve will remain closed until it is manually reset. The flood sensors are battery-powered, enabling them to be located anywhere a leak is likely to occur, or where water might cause damage.
As the brains of the system, the motor features a built-in wireless receiver with user adjustable digital security codes, which allows additional nearby WaterCop systems to operate independently. The motor also has auxiliary low voltage contacts with a modular RJ-45 interface socket for direct connection to optional WaterCop accessories, or for integration with a third-party home security or automation system using standard Cat5 computer cabling.

Stop Damaging Water Leaks...
Flood damage and losses related to plumbing problems can lead to higher home insurance costs and possibly the loss of affordable coverage altogether. The WaterCop system, when properly installed and maintained, offers a proven method to effectively reduce the chance of catastrophic plumbing related flooding. WaterCop automatic water shut-off systems automatically turn off the water when a leak has been detected. WaterCop Systems are activated by flood sensors, an optional remote switch, and work with various home security systems. Maintain a smarter home install a WaterCop today!
