Upgrade secure access to your home or property with the Skylink Smart Button Garage Door Opener & Keypad Entry Kit. This garage access control kit adds both a secure outdoor keypad to Open/Close your garage door and the ability to remotely access your garage with up to 16 remote controllers. The kit consists of the Skylink Garage Door Keyless Entry System Keypad and the Skylink Smart Button Garage Door Control. The Skylink Garage Door Keyless Entry System is a programmable wireless garage door keypad that allows you to operate up to four garage doors connected to Skylink receivers. The Smart Button Garage Door Control adds wireless connectivity to your garage door to enable remote Open/close operation with up to 16 handheld remote controllers.

The Skylink Garage Door Keyless Entry System is a programmable wireless garage door keypad that allows you to operate up to four garage doors connected to a Skylink receiver. The Garage Door Keyless Entry System has 12 backlit buttons to make it easy to see day or night. A weatherproof cover protects the keypad from harsh or inclement weather, and is easily flipped up whenever you need to use the keypad. To help prevent unauthorized entry, the keypad's "Passcode Lock Timeout" feature automatically locks the keypad against use for 10 minutes after 10 incorrect passcode attempts.
The Smart Button Garage Door Control adds wireless connectivity to your garage door to enable remote Open/close operation with up to 16 handheld remote controllers. At the same time, the Smart Button can either replace your standard garage door opener wall button or act as a secondary or tertiary controller. The Smart Button Garage Door Control is designed to work with Skylink remote control models G6M, G6K, G6V, G6T3, the SkylinkHome system remote, and more to operate your Garage Door Opener.
Rolling Code Technology
Every time you press your remote transmitter, a code is generated which is recognized by the receiver that in turn performs the desired function. With most systems, there is only one assigned code. Whenever the remote is pressed, it generates the same code, making it vulnerable to code grabbers who use electronic scanners to steal the code.
With rolling code technology, each time the remote is used, it generates a different code which can only be recognized by a rolling code receiver. Even if an electronic scanner picks up the code, the next code will not be the same, and the receiver will not recognize the old code. As a result, systems with rolling code technology are increasingly safe and secure.
Installation Details
The Garage Door Keyless Entry System Keypad mounts with the included screws to an exterior wall near your garage door and is powered by a AAA battery, no wiring required. The keypad wirelessly pairs with your Skylink receiving device(s) through simple programming steps explained in the provided manual.
The Smart Button mounts with included double sided tape onto a flat surface closest to the wiring for either your standard garage door button or the garage door motor. If you intend to keep your standard garage door button, the Smart Button mounts alongside it and connects to the existing wiring with its "Easy Clip". If the existing garage door button's wiring is unreachable to attach to or you wish to replace the button, then the Smart Button uses a 2-wire connection to act as the new local garage door button, while simultaneously operating as a wireless receiver.
