This Wi-Fi gas sensor is specifically designed to sound an audible alarm and flash its built-in LED lights as soon as an Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) leak is detected. Liquefied Petroleum Gas is heavier than air and will tend to accumulate near the ground so it is best to install this sensor lower to the floor to catch potential leaks effectively. The sensor easily plugs into a wall outlet and connects to your Wi-Fi network to deliver remote notifications to your smartphone via the Shelly Smart Control App (Android or iOS), no smart hub required. You can also add it to smart automation scenes to assist in delivering security alerts or quickly turning smart light switches off and on or ordering motorized windows or doors to automatically open to help disperse the gas out of the building.
