Add one-touch activation of smart devices or smart home scenes to your switches with the Shelly Wave i4 US Multi-Input Control Module, Z-Wave 800 & Z-Wave LR! This Z-Wave 800 and Z-Wave LR compatible input reader module installs behind multi-input switches or multi-gang switches to convert them into remote controlled Z-Wave controllers capable of activating or deactivating Z-Wave scenes or remotely turning On/Off devices controlled by the switches. From a single location, users can activate/deactivate up to individual Z-Wave controlled devices or automated scenes created from a Z-Wave hub's mobile application or web dashboard. Up to 4 Z-Wave actions or smart scenes can be configured per switch, reaching up to 16 Z-Wave automations for 4-gang switches. The i4 US Module can be programmed to directly command other Z-Wave devices, including plug-in modules, switches, and more. This allows the switches wired to the i4 US Module to function as local Z-Wave automation controllers that anyone can use, no mobile app or web dashboard required.

From one location you could turn On and Off all Z-Wave controlled lights in your home, slowly Open or Close a window to a specific position and turn a fan On or Off, activate a "Movie Night" smart scene that turns on multicolor lights and media devices plugged into a single outlet, and/or shut off a specific outlet to save some energy while you are away. The Wave i4 US utilizes Z-Wave 800 and Z-Wave LR wireless technology to provide reliable and long range connectivity, increased encryption protection, and easier setup into Z-Wave networks.

Enjoy enhanced home automation control and precise monitoring of your Shelly devices no matter where you are with the Shelly Smart Control app. The app connects to Shelly's cloud service to help you control your connected devices remotely and send notifications for all automated events in your home directly to your smart device. Installation Details

The Wave i4 US fits in behind a wall switch and requires a neutral wire for setup. This device will automatically attempt to locate and request inclusion into your local Z-Wave network after it is installed. In order to utilize Z-Wave LR communications, a Z-Wave LR compatible gateway or hub is required. Unlike standard Z-Wave mesh protocols, Z-Wave LR works as a star network, connecting a Z-Wave gateway directly to a Z-Wave LR device up to 1 mile (1.6km) away without using any other Z-Wave devices as a signal relay or node.

Z-Wave Plus v3 Certification

Z-Wave Plus v3 is an upgraded Z-Wave certification program to help you identify products that take advantage of the latest Z-Wave hardware platform, also known as 800 Series or Gen8 Z-Wave. Z-Wave Plus v3 compatible devices include extended wireless relay range up to 130 feet (40m) to the nearest Z-Wave device, three layers of encryption, faster operation, and longer battery life.

Z-Wave LR Certification

Z-Wave LR extends Z-Wave connectivity beyond the boundaries of a single building with increased range and coverage and optimized battery life. Z-Wave LR devices operate on a star network topology which features a Z-Wave LR compatible gateway/hub at a central point and then establishes a direct connection to devices. ZWLR compatible devices offer up to 262 ft (80 m) indoor range line of sight and 1 mile (1.6km) outdoor without using any other Z-Wave devices as a signal relay or node. Z-Wave networks can support both Z-Wave LR and traditional Z-Wave nodes can co-exist within the same network, enabling a wide variety and combination of Z-Wave devices and Z-Wave LR devices.
