    The Optex VX Shield 90° Wide Angle Outdoor Detector provides versatile and reliable outdoor motion detection of wide areas of your property. It features anti-masking functionality, digital triple layer detection, and SMDA Logic technology to account for climate changes and wind-swept vegetation to further refine movement detection capabilities in any outdoor environment.

    Optex VX Series Reliable Detection: 1) Digital Triple Layer Detection. Both the upper/lower PIR Detection areas and MW detection area must simultaneously be crossed to generate an alarm. Each activation is independently analyzed so that spuirous events can be filtered and ignored. This technology virtually eliminates nuisance detection of smaller animals in the premises. 2) SMDA (Super Multidimensinal Analysis) Logic. All VXS models are equipped with a digitally enhanced signal recognition logic called SMDA. By analyzing detection patterns and environmental information SMDA improves immunity against various noise factors suck as climate changes and vegitation sways, and can distingush between the cause of nuisance false alarms and genuine intructions.

    Digital Triple Layer Detection

    An alarm will be generated when the upper and lower PIR detection areas and MW detection area are simultaneously crossed. This technology prevents detection of smaller sized animals, such as dogs, to trigger the alarm.

    Reliable Detection

    • SMDA Logic (Super Multidimensional Analysis) technology can differentiate between climate changes and vegetation sways and actual intrusions.
    • The IR digital anti-masking function helps detect when a covering object, such as tape, is on the lens surface.
