This contemporary electronic lock has an attractive design and features backlit pushbuttons for coded entry and Auto Lock functionality that provide you peace of mind knowing the lock will automatically lock on its own. For manual operation, use a standard turnkey or create up to 12 numerical user codes and 2 one-time codes that can be assigned to friends, family members, and temporary guests to unlock your door. This electronic lock comes with an Intrusion Alert feature that disables the keypad and sounds the alarm when 3 wrong codes have been entered, preventing intruders from continually guessing your pass codes. For added security, if you plan to be away from your home for a long period of time you can use the Vacation Mode feature to completely disable the keypad. The Kwikset Powerbolt 240 electronic lock comes with a limited warranty (Lifetime Mechanical/ Finish, 1 Year Electronics) and is ideal for entry doors, side doors, garage doors, sheds, or storage rooms.

Installation Details

The Kwikset Powerbolt 240 is simple to install; all you need is a screwdriver to remove your old lock and screw in your new one. Depending on the installation, you may also need a ruler, hammer, and wood block. The lock is powered by 4 AA standard batteries (not included), so no wiring is required. When the batteries run low, the lock will make 10 audible beeps and the lock button will flash in red 10 times.
