How It Works

The Zipato ZipaTile receives programming information from the Zipato web portal through your existing Internet router, and uses wireless technologies, such as Z-Wave or Bluetooth, to communicate with other devices. Once programming is sent from the cloud to the ZipaTile, settings are stored locally, so an Internet connection is not required to control connected devices.

Zipato Web Portal & Smartphone App

The Zipato ZipaTile includes free access to the Zipato web portal, where you will log in online to configure your devices, monitor your home's security, and review energy consumption of metered devices. You'll also be able to set up multiple users with different access rights, review home event history, set up email and text alerts, and customize your system by adding devices.

The web portal can be accessed through any web browser, as well as a free smartphone app. The app is available to download for Apple and Android mobile devices, providing convenient remote control for your home.

DIY Customization with Zipato Rule Creator

Through the web portal, you can access the Zipato Rule Creator, an online intuitive graphical programming tool that lets you add devices or change settings whenever you want from anywhere in the world. Just log into your account to make changes. No software installation or programming skills are required!

The Zipato Rule Creator allows you to create "rules" for your connected devices. Rules trigger events when other events occur. You can easily develop rules yourself with the Rule Creator's comprehensive library of drag and drop micro blocks (control functions), which can be mixed, matched and stacked to create simple or complex control sequences. Events can be triggered by:

 • Conditions (many)
 • Status change of any device
 • Absolute time
 • Sunrise/sunset (with offset)
 • By email received
 • Security panel events
 • By matched infrared codes
 • Recurring at regular second/minute intervals
 • Event actions

Optional Monitoring Service

As a free service from Zipato, you can receive automatic system monitoring and alerts from the Zipato Home Monitoring Servers. Alerts can be customized with the Zipato Rule Creator.

Installation Details

The ZipaTile is designed either to mount to a wall with the included hardware, or to sit in the included tabletop stand. Ideally, it should be placed in a central location where you can use the touchscreen display to monitor your home environment, communicate through the video intercom, and conveniently adjust settings.

The unit can be powered in two different ways, either with the included plug-in power supply or with a wired connection through the wall.

 • ZipaTile
 • Power Supply (5V/1.5A)
 • Table Stand
 • Wall Holder
 • Wall Socket Adapter
 • Mounting Screws

NOTE: Requires a broadband Internet router and active Internet service.

This thing is incredible! So much control at my fingers now, and the support are really cool and helping.
I'm still waiting for the way to change the user interface colors :-/

Only thing that me the my wife accepted when I introduce her a Smart home concept. Didn't come without the compromise, she had to change original Zipato wallpaper :)
Joke aside, really it is a great product, I would recommend it.

Easy to set up

I bought ZipaTile one first then I bought the ZipaBox and I absolutely love them both. The Android and iPhone apps work perfectly for controlling of the devices in the house.
All begins when we were on vacation with a house that was equipped with a Zipato system and was so impressed we ordered it so we would have it when we got home.
That night my wife looked at me and said, you're not going to set that up now, are you? I said I was just going to plug it in but five minutes later it was set up.

Good, good

Like the total control i can have over my home, it really feels like it's all in one place. Just dont get addicted with willing to control every little thing you have or you will spend quite a lot of money :P
There are some complains i have like the speed of it, or better to say, it feels kinda slowish on touch. And UI could be better.

nice app, full integrated

Bought for integrated devices, nice product, awesome app, few things get twitch but I have worked it out.

Completely changed the way I controling my house

Completely changed the way I controling my house! I currently own Zipato controller and just purchased a ZipaTile. Pairing these controllers is perfect for any house.

Great controller
I'm writing here just to notify other customers about this product.
This is a nice piece of equipment for home automation. I bought this ZipaTile because I saw that they won an CES 2017 award, so I decided to give it a shot, previously I have had Vera plus.
First week I was trying to learn about system, and how things works, it wasn't that hard to learn the basics. I had around 30 z-wave devices on my vera, so I decided to include them to ZipaTile. Adding devices was smooth, and there was no errors.
The interface is pretty straight forward, everything is there and it's easy to control. They have rule creator, which is better then vera's.
Cloud connection is alright, they have some server issues, but if you have rules that are scheduled to execute they will.
They recently supported Amazon Echo which is amazing!

ZipaTile experience

I've tried out different smart home solutions, before the ZipaTile caught my eye. I've been using Vera and the SmartThings Hub. I have to admit none of these solutions were perfect, yet the ZipaTile had the best to offer in my case. I'm using ZigBee and Z-Wave devices. I'm still waiting for the backup feature which Zipato has promised to be rolled out soon, as far as I've seen on their community forum. The setup was also fairly easy and self-explaining. However this is my opinion, some people complain about the system, others love it. I like it since it suits my needs. Here in Holland the ZipaTile also is well supported in terms of device availability.

Well balanced device with plenty options and upgrades

Straightforward installation with manual and online support, setting up location, weather station, alarm partitions with different zones and types for health care, safety (flood, panic), intruder. Many options, but with help support, every aspect of home control is manged. Support of Sonos and all kind of Zigbee devices.
