Pet Immune Wireless Motion Detector

Set up an outdoor motion detection zone with the STI Wireless Outdoor Motion Detector with Single Channel Slave Receiver. The STI Wireless Outdoor Motion Detector senses motion up to 33 feet away, while ignoring animals up to 100 pounds. The STI Single Slave Receiver hard-wires into your third-party home automation or security system control panel to enable wireless communication with the sensor.

  • Senses motion up to 33 feet away within 90 degrees
  • Ignores pets up to 100 pounds (45 kg)
  • Supervised for low battery and signal reception
  • Slave Receiver connects sensor to third-party control panel
  • 1000 feet line of sight transmission range between sensor and receiver

How It Works

The weatherproof outdoor detector features Dual-Frequency infrared (DFIRT) opto-electronics to further minimize the chance of false activations. When a true alarm is activated, the detector signals your STI wireless receiver (sold separately) to alert you.

The STI Single Channel Slave Receiver receives STI encoded 433.92 MHz radio signals from the sensor. It utilizes Form C relay contacts rated at 1A at 12 VDC to wire into your control panel. It should be installed into a protected enclosure to prevent signal interference.

Installation Details

The battery-powered motion detector installs outdoors either on a flat wall or in a 45-degree corner with the included screws. If its tamper cover is opened after installation, a tamper signal will be sent to the receiver. Additionally, if the unit is removed from the wall, loses signal, or has low battery, the receiver produces a single beep once a minute.

To activate the slave receiver, move the onboard switch to Program. Connect the Motion Detector or desired transmitter to the receiver by activating the transmitter (see transmitter instructions). The receiver will beep twice to confirm programming. Afterwards, move the mode switch to the intended mode. Activate the connected transmitter again to confirm enrollment.
