Add Two Additional Doors to Your EN System
The Linear e3 Stand-Alone Access Node allows you to add two additional access control devices to your EN system within the same property. The EXN is network ready, allowing multiple units to be interconnected through a LAN connection. It includes a metal housing with (6) knockouts, hardware, an Input/Output board, (2) peripheral ports, a tamper lock, a 10/100 Ethernet port, supplies for mounting, and a keyed lock.
Hardware Features
Relay Outputs: Activate access devices, such as door strikes, magnetic locks, automatic doors, barrier gates, and automatic sliding gates using the (4) 3-amp dry contact Form-C SPDT relay outputs. Plus, you can also use the relay outputs as specialty outputs for alarm activation or alarm contact shunting.
Request-to-Exit (REX) Inputs: A request-to-exit input is provided with each door lock relay channel. The inputs are provided for hardwire activation of the access devices.
Door Switch Monitor (DSM) Inputs: The door switch monitor inputs connect to door switches that monitor whether the controlled door is open or closed.
Wiegand Reader Support: Add swipe card or proximity readers to the system with two Wiegand inputs (Reader A and Reader B). They can connect to various types of Wiegand output accessories (26, 30, and 31-bit).
PBUS Device Support: Control additional doors or gates in your system by configuring the Reader B port to connect to Linear brand PBUS accessories such as keypads and proximity readers.
Removable Programming Memory: The EXN removable 4GB SD card memory retains all entry codes, transmitter information, card access, and programming.
Power Management: The system is powered with a plug-in power supply using the included Power Distribution Module (PDM). If an AC power failure occurs, the Power Distribution Module will notify the system.
Network Support: Multiple units (EN-2A4, EN-2A7, EN-2A10, and EXN) can be networked together through a LAN connection or via an isolated RS-485 network, which will allow information sharing between the units. A common event log is retained for all of the networked units, and you'll be able to connect a computer to the network to store and retrieve memory data.
