Leviton UPB Powerline Phase Coupler (Open Box)
Ensure Adequate Signal Strength Of UPB
A typical UPB lighting control system is for single phase 120/240 VAC, 60 Hz homes. The UPB Phase Coupler mounts by the circuit breaker box and is used to bridge the signal when a home has two phases within the circuit breaker box. The coupler allows both X10 and UPB signals to pass through seamlessly between phases. The LED on the Phase Coupler shows that it is working.
Although UPB is extremely robust and less susceptible to powerline conditions, it is recommended that a Powerline Phase Coupler be installed in every system.
When you add an Omni or a Lumina home control system to your UPB lighting control installation, you gain the ability to change your light settings by the time of day, set schedule, by the triggering of events (including motion), via a telephone call, Touchscreen, or by a computer connected to the Internet. When a home control system is installed, a Scene Switch button may be programmed to run a series of commands, such as setting lighting levels and changing drapery levels.
