The Recessed ShatterPro II is an advanced version of the ShatterPro acoustic glassbreak sensor. By processing over 30 frequency points across the glass break frequency spectrum, the Recessed ShatterPro II can eliminate most common false alarm sounds, while providing excellent glassbreak detection.

The 5822A Series Recessed ShatterPro™ II is designed for use when sensor appearance is a consideration. The 5822A recessed model can be mounted directly into the wall or ceiling or can be used with the single gang box accessory. A trim ring is included.

Using GE Secuirity’s patented Pattern Recognition Technology™ , the sensor listens for the actual pattern of breaking glass while eliminating most false alarm patterns. Recessed ShatterPro II sensors listen across the glassbreak frequency spectrum to differentiate the sound of breaking glass from most normal room sounds.

The test feature makes installation faster by eliminating the test mode jumper. Testing is done by activating the hand-held glassbreak tester at close range. Opening the sensor is unnecessary.

A simple hand-clap feature lets end-users confirm at any time that the Recessed ShatterPro II is operational. The sensor will blink twice.

The 5822A Recessed ShatterPro II detects in a full 360° coverage pattern, with a 25' (7.5 m) radius range from sensor to glass. The Recessed ShatterPro II is suitable for use in quiet occupied areas on the perimeter loop.

SHATTERPRO II FAMILY

ShatterPro II sensors give you a potent combination of range, reliability, flexibility and ease of use. They offer a 25’ radius range for extended glassbreak detection. In many applications, a single ShatterPro II can provide reliable detection for an entire entire room. Use it for quiet, occupied areas to complete the perimeter protection loop.

Installation is fast and easy, thanks to the ShatterPro II hand-held tester. Install and test ShatterPro II with a single trip up the ladder. The tester puts the unit in test mode, lets you conduct testing, and automatically returns the sensor to normal operating mode when the test is complete. End-users benefit from ShatterPro II’s exclusive “hand-clap” test and blinking LED that confirms the sensor’s operational status. Diagnostics are automatic and no reset is needed.
