RELAY8NET RS232 (OR USB) DRIVEN, 8 CIRCUIT RELAY MODULE
CONNECTS TO THE RAIN8 NETWORK!
For control applications demanding isolated, dry contacts, and the degree of certainty of operation that can come with only with a hard wired system.
The Relay8net responds to the same simple 3 byte command as it's irrigation brother, the Rain8net and may be connect to any Rain8 network and assigned any one of 250 possible addresses.
Possible commands include:
Turn on or off each relay individually
Turn off all relays on a specific module
Turn off all relays on all modules
Get the current status of all relays
Optional momentary mode from 1 second to 250 minute
Up to 1000' between Relay8net and computer
Rain8
The Rain8net is a modular 8-zone sprinkler controller module that can be controlled over the Internet by any computer. It is capable of driving standard 24VAC irrigation valves directly.
Additional modules may be daisy chained to provide control and 24 VAC power to as many as 2040 irrigation zones from a single COM or USB port.
There is a single RS232 connection between the controlling computer and the "master" Rain8. The distance between the computer and the controller is up to 1000' and requires only 3 wires: TX, RX and GND.
The 24VAC power and network communications are transferred from master to slave-to-slave etc.
The network connection for the slave units is an 8 conductor RJ45. Each slave has a pair of these modular jacks to pass on data and power to the next one in a daisy chain. Each slave also has a RS232 connection that is used only to assign the address during the initial configuration.
