WGL UPB572 UPB TRANSCEIVER
RF TO UPB TRANSCEIVER (REQUIRES CIM)
Ever wanted to turn on your UPB controlled table lamp with a hand held RF remote like X10's palmpad. Now you can activate UPB links or direct control individual UPB devices with WGL's UPB572 transceiver.
RF signals are generated by X10 compatible remote devices: palmpad remotes, key chain remotes, HawkEye motion detectors, and others. These signals are received by a quarter wave whip antenna and presented to a very sensitive 310Mhz receiver internal to the UPB572 module. This data is then mapped to specified UPB addresses, Link ID, Direct ID and Network ID.
The correct command is then sent to a UPB PIM which in turn broadcasts to the household power wiring in the UPB format. Any lamp module or other UPB device that has a matching address will then respond to the command that originated when you pushed a key on your PalmPad.
Not supplied but required for operation:
A UPB power line interface (PIM) (PCS PCPIMR, Simply
Automated SAUMCDB9 or HAI HA36A001)
You will need a PC with Windows 98 or later as your operating system, a serial port or USB port and the supplied RS232 RJ11 – DB9 cable.
