DEDICATED DEVICES, 300GB MEDIA SERVER THE CENTER OF THE DIGITALIFE SYSTEM At the center of the DigitaLife System is the 300GB DigitaLife Server, a network and media server that is designed to fit inside the structured wiring cabinet. Combining the functions of a digital photo archive, digital music jukebox and digital video server, the DigitaLife Server makes it easy to organize, access, control and enjoy digital photos, music and video from any room in the home that is equipped with a DigitaLife Player. BUILT-IN ROUTER AND GATEWAY The DigitaLife Server functions as a multiport switch to conveniently network PCs and other equipment throughout the home. It operates as an internet-sharing residential gateway with built-in firewall protection. The DigitaLife Server also operates as a network-attached storage (NAS) device with its built-in hard drive. Network Manager, a browser-based console, makes it convenient to manage the network and media settings. UNIQUE MODULAR DESIGN FITS IN THE CAN The DigitaLife Server installs in the electrical or structured wiring cabinet and uses a wired home’s infrastructure. Storage can be expanded with additional 120GB and 300GB storage modules that are designed to fit in the same cabinet. An upgradeable platform, the DigitaLife Server can be expanded to support future entertainment, home automation, communications and security applications.
