APRILAIRE TEMPERATURE SENSOR MODULE

ONE ON-BOARD OR TWO EXTERNAL TEMPERATURE SENSORS

The 8061 TT Support Module provides one on-board temperature sensor or can accommodate two external temperature sensors such as the model 8051. This unit is desined to offer versatility in climate control. A set of onboard dipswitches allows you to select whether you want as many as two sensor inputs per support module to control, monitor, or even do a combination of both. The temperature data is sent by digital communications back to an Aprilaire 8870 Thermostat, allowing you to accurately control and monitor temperature in a given area or multiple areas. The Aprilaire 8870 can support up to four 8061 TT Support Modules.

THE AUTOMATED HOME.

You've probably heard about computers running factories and businesses. Well, with the technology advances today, we're able to run our homes too. At a basic level, home automation is connecting your home's security, audio/video and lighting to one central computer, sometimes called a system controller. Home automation eliminates the need to continually set and reset multiple thermostats located throughout a building or home. Like with lighting and security, it lets homeowners monitor, set, and control all indoor heating and cooling functions from that same centralized location. The Communicating Thermostat is the unit that talks to the centralized or home computer to maintain the comfort throughout large homes with the advantage of seeing and changing all the thermostats from one location. Any structure that has three or more thermostats or uses multiple heating and air conditioning units can benefit from the convenience of HVAC Automation.
