MULTI-SCREEN MENU DRIVEN USER INTERFACE

The RCTR40485 thermostat connects to, monitors and controls an HVAC mechanical system via its standard thermostat connections. The RCTR40485 consists of two components, the Wall Display Unit (WDU) and the Thermostat Control Unit (TCU). The WDU is installed in place of the standard thermostat, and the TCU is installed at the mechanical (HVAC) system location.

The WDU has a large graphical backlighted LCD display which is capable of both test and graphics. The WDU also has four LEDs that display various status information.

Normal local control of the HVAC system is provided by the WDU with its typical thermostat-like user interface. The TCU provides all HVAC mechanical systems outputs as well as the RS-485 remote systems interface.

The WDU and TCU connect to each other, via 4 wires(2 power, 2 data) using the existing thermostat wiring. The TCU connects to an automation system via cat-5 wiring.
