RESIDENTIAL INSTALLATION BASICS TRAINING COURSE PREPARE FOR YOUR CEDIA INSTALLER LEVEL 1 EXAM This Residential Installation training is designed for the new residential installation technician and covers the technical knowledge common to all residential low-voltage installation tasks regardless of the type of systems being installed. This 3-hr 30-minute course provides a solid foundation to build on for residential technician training. It also prepares the viewer for the CEDIA Installer Level 1 Exam. The course uses actual field and studio demonstrations as well as graphic and animation sequences. The course is divided into four parts: Part 1 covers industry codes, standards, and safety practices for residential electronic systems installation. This material is covered in both a large studio set and an actual field installation. Part 2 covers the the essential information you will need to know about the various types of cable and cable characteristic commonly used in residential custom installation. Part 3 covers the numerous analog and digital connectors and proper connector installation, both in the shop and in the field. Part 4 applies this knowledge to actual field installation techniques. This part of the course uses actual field installation examples to demonstrate each phase of a typical residential installation of voice, data, audio/video, RF, and security systems. In addition to the videos, the course comes with a detailed 100+ page workbook that tracks the material in the video and contains additional reference material.
