EMITTER EXTENSION KIT

The Emitter Extension Kit (EMTEX) splices right into the emitter ribbon cable, and can use either Cat5 cable with RJ45 connectors or any two-conductor cable to extend the Hot Link Pro's capability.

Users can now install the Hot Link Pro emitter set over 100 feet away from the IR eye and control box. This adds the benefit of extended wiring length without reducing Hot Link Pro's famous hypersensitivity and without expensive coax. Can be used to extend 6 of the 12 emitters of the new Hotlink Pro X12 model to have 6 emitters local and 6 emitters far away.

The Emitter Extension Kit is comprised of:
Two Extension Boxes that splice on to the emitter ribbon cable
Shortpiece of two-conductor cable
Hook and Loop fasteners

Extension Box dimensions: 45 mm x 33 mm x 28 mm

Over 100 feet of two-conductor cable (speaker wire, phone hook-up wire, unterminated Cat5) or Cat5 with RJ45 plugs, can be used to connect the two extension boxes.

The extension boxes each have a pair of screw terminals (for use with two-conductor cable) and an RJ45 Jack (for Cat5 plugs) that uses the 2 center leads for connection to all 12 emitter wires.

The Extension Box is also a unique IDC (Insulation Displacement Connector) clamping tool that clamps on to the end of the emitter ribbon cable.

This kit is required for the Emitter Expansion Kit X6 that adds 6 more emitters to the Hot Link Pro.
