GE SECURITY DIGIA II DVR, MPEG-4, 160 GB
USER FRIENDLY SURVEILLANCE SOLUTION
With a robust, appliance-like interface and quick out-of-the-box setup,
the Digia™ II series of MPEG-4 digital video recorders is an integrated
Triplex™ video surveillance solution that enables users to view live video,
playback previously recorded video, and record video simultaneously.
GE Security's Digia™ II, a cost-effective,
compact 4-, 9-, or 16-channel digital
video recorder, brings the benefits of
digital security monitoring to small
commercial applications.
A user-friendly interface and more
than one month of hard disk recording
make the Digia II easy to use, install,
and maintain in a small-business
environment.
Digia II provides a fit-and-forget
solution, with a simple search function
for reviewing video. The recorder
includes security features such as
external alarm inputs and motion
detection that triggers an alarm when
movement in a user-definable area of
the image is detected. The feature set
includes complete search by alarm,
motion, and time and date.
Simultaneously view, record, and play
back video images with the Digia II.
Easily archive video evidence to an
external device connected through the
USB 2.0 port – and because USB 2.0 is
hot-swappable, an external device can
be connected at any time.
Transferring video information is quick
and easy, as Digia II creates an AVI
file that can be viewed by any PC with
Windows® Media Player — no need
to install special software on your PC.
MPEG-4 compression technology also
allows you to save high-quality images
into smaller file sizes for easier storage
and streaming over Ethernet.
Digia Browser is a web-browser
interface that enables easy viewing
of live video, searching and play
back of video, or configuration of the
Digia II remotely. Securely view video
from just about any computer in the
world via the Internet. As the Digia II
optionally supports DDNS, the recorder
can be accessed through an easyto-
remember name instead of an IP
address that may dynamically change
through DHCP.
AT HOME OR AT YOUR BUSINESS
Security is important to businesses of any size. That's why GE created Digia™. It delivers the benefits of digital video recording at a price that makes sense for small owner-operated businesses. That means you can see clear images with details that make identification easier. You can find images instantly by time, date or alarm. And you can say good-bye to the hassles of changing and storing tapes and day-to-day VCR maintenance.
Compact
The compact, four-channel Digia replaces conventional VCR/multiplexer combinations, taking less space under your counter and a smaller piece of your budget. Digia records each camera in real time, and its internal hard drive can hold more than a month of recorded video. Digia also has one audio channel and full duplex audio. That means you can hear and see what's happening—giving you more information to resolve incidents. Plus, built-in video motion detection will trigger alarm recording when movement is detected in a user-defined area of the camera's view.
Convenient
Digia makes it easy to review evidence from incidents like customer disputes, suspected theft or shrinkage. It lets you watch live or recorded images while it continues recording. You can search by date, time or alarm, and Digia instantly retrieves crisp digital images. A USB-2 port makes it easy to transfer video to your PC or archive it to an external hard drive. You can also watch live video on your PC over a local Ethernet connection;
because the Digia records in a native MPEG-4 format, you can watch video on your PC using Windows Media Player™—you don't need any special viewing software.
Finally, the digital recorder you've been waiting for is waiting for you. Put a Digia to work in your business today.
Applications
GE's Digia is the perfect way for small businesses to get the advantages of digital video recording at an affordable price. You don't need a separate multiplexer, and you can easily transfer video to your PC using its standard USB-2 port. With capacity
for up to four cameras, it's ideal for retail environments like convenience stores, coffee houses, video rental outlets and other owner-operated businesses. Plus, Digia comes with the reliability and backing of GE, the biggest name in security.
