The SAUMI32W is useful in detecting events such as a ringing telephone or doorbell, or for the monitoring alarm switches on doors and windows, or for sensing audio signals from a sound system. Installation is simple: the module is plugged into a standard 120VAC electrical outlet and the devices are wired into a terminal block on the bottom of the module. The ouputs deliver on/off control for low-power electrical devices such as door strikes, drapery controls, central vacuum controls, electric fireplace igniters, garage door openers, sprinkler valves, etc. A non-controlled 120VAC outlet is also provided on the face of the module. Connected devices can be operated manually using a multi-button controller, or automatically via PC or home automation controller.
SIMPLE AUTOMATION USING UPB
These plug-in modules are designed to identify and transmit the status of low voltage inputs and contact closures, and to control the operation of low-power actuators based on digital commands received on the powerline. The modules communicate using the highly-reliable Universal Powerline Bus (UPB) technology.
