Cheap plug strips usually only protect from HOT (load) to ground. Many surges and lightning hits can come from neutral and back from ground, thus causing damage to the electronics load.

The ILS100 has a right-angle male U-Ground plug that hugs the wall. This prevents the plug from protruding from the wall and allows low profile applications. The ILS100 can be used with multiple types of equipment including but not limited to, computers, stereo amps, and other electronic loads with a right angle computer style female connector on the equipment end.

The ILS100 and IWS100 also have RFI filtering for noise immunity.

These surge protectors have up to 10 times the joule rating of average suppressors that can be ruined on one powerful surge or lightning hit (the higher the rating, the more energy and heat can be dissipated especially from a lightning hit.)
