ON-Q/LEGRAND LYRIQ AUDIO LOCAL SOURCE INPUT
AUTOMATICALLY OVERRIDES THE REMOTE AUDIO SOURCE
Allows user to plug in devices like portable audio players, master bedroom TVs, or computer audio outputs for in-room listening on local speakers. Automatically overrides the remote source music in the room when the local source is on and returns to source when local source is off.
The On-Q/Legrand lyriQ Local Source Input, is an integral part of the On-Q/Legrand lyriQ Audio System. It is a component which, when combined with other essential components and your source equipment, creates a versatile whole-house audio system that will fill your rooms with high-quality sound for years to come. Category 5 technology is a new, innovative method of providing high quality audio to remote locations with a single 8-conductor cable such as Cat 5e. This technology provides many advantages over other conventional methods of audio distribution such as simple, single Cat 5e wiring scheme, infrared control of system components, and system power status.
The lyriQ Local Source Input uses the same 110 style punchdown connection as the volumecontrols. It senses the audio signal from a line level audio source such as a CD player, and if it is active, the local source has priority over the main source and will be heard within the zone. When the local source is no longer active or plugged in, the main source will be heard in the zone within 30 seconds.
NOTE: The lyriQ Local Source Input, like all other On-Q/Legrand lyriQ Audio system components, is powered by the On-Q/Legrand lyriQ Audio Distribution Module.
