Use these crossovers when not using a dedicated bass amplification system.
All home theater receivers have a line-level RCA pre-out for a subwoofer amp (or active sub). The output of a subwoofer amp will drive the StudWoofer without the need for passive crossovers. The high frequency sound will be filtered out electronically by either your reciever or by your sub amp. These crossovers allow the StudWoofer to be integrated into either a home theater system where bass amplification is not desired (runs off of front L & R channels) or a traditional two channel stereo audio system.
