Improved over the original 1600 model, the MedReady 1700 Medication Dispenser provides advanced medication management to help patients practice regular medication compliance. Caregivers can easily fill the automatic pill dispenser, set dosage times, and program the appropriate alarms, giving the user a new degree of independence when it comes to taking medication. All MedReady models now come standard with a low frequency audible alarm. This buzzing alarm sounds when it's time for the patient to take medication. Models that include a flashing light also provide visual alarms. When the door on the automatic pill dispenser is opened, the alarm stops sounding/flashing.

Only the most recent medication dose is available. The pill tray rotates to the next dose when the next audible alarm sounds. If a patient misses a dose, the pill dispenser denies access to the missed dose.

Supports Full Medication Regimens

The MedReady 1700 Medication Dispenser comes with a removable medication tray that holds 28 doses of dry medication (pills or capsules). Each of the 28 compartments is ramped for easy removal of medication, and can hold up to nine M&M-sized pills. The MedReady automatic pill dispenser also has a card holder in the bottom for a printed copy of the patient's prescriptions.

The automatic pill dispenser is designed to ensure medication compliance without hassle. Divisions between compartments keep medications in place even if the dispenser is turned upside down. Furthermore, the dispenser is protected under lock and key, so that no one can tamper with doses.

Setting schedules and alarms for dosage times is as simple as setting a digital alarm clock. The automatic pill dispenser's extra large LED display can be viewed from any angle and is self-illuminating so it can be seen in any light.

MedReady conveniently uses AC power, but in the event of a power outage or short-term travel, it switches automatically to the included rechargeable battery pack.
