The following are the minimum requirements for this software:

  • HAI Omni LT, Omni, Omni II, Omni IIe, OmniPro, or OmniPro II controller with 1.8 firmware or later.
  • Your Windows media center PC must be connected to the HAI controller (see User's Guide (PDF) for the connection requirements)
  • 2 GHz processor or higher, Pentium IV, or equivalent (3 GHz processor or higher, Pentium IV, or equivalent recommended)
  • Works on Vista! Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 or Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 (recommended)
  • 512 MB of RAM (1 GB of RAM recommended)
  • 80 GB hard-disk space
  • CD-ROM or DVD Drive

To access Web-Link II over the Internet you must have a full-time connection to the Internet (i.e. DSL or Cable service) on the computer running Web-Link II and one of the following:

  • Static IP Address. A Static IP address is a dedicated IP address assigned to your Internet account by your ISP (Internet Service Provider). This address should not (or very rarely) change. You will use this IP address to access Web-Link II (via the web server) over the Internet.

  • Subscribe to a Dynamic DNS Service. DNS (Domain Name Service) is a service that allows you to alias your Dynamic IP address to a static (permanent) host name, allowing your computer to be more easily accessed from various locations on the Internet.

Clients (which are written by third-party developers) can be used to automatically update your Dynamic DNS host name with your current IP address, without the need to open a browser. This allows you to access Web-Link II (via the web server) over the Internet by entering in your static host name instead of your current IP address.
