HAI WEB-LINK II SOFTWARE
ACCESS YOUR HAI SYSTEM VIA THE INTERNET!
Enhanced for Windows 7!
Web-Link II is the award-winning software accessory for your HAI home control system that is sold WITHOUT any subscription fees!
Whether you're at the office or on vacation, your home is only a click away. Using your laptop, PDA, web-enabled phone, or any computer with Internet access, you can monitor and control your home through Web-Link II by using a web browser.
Web-Link II allows you to monitor and adjust settings for lighting, heating and air, security, and appliances with the added benefit of wireless access over a PDA or web-enabled phone.
It allows you to view family and property with video surveillance, record video on demand or based upon an event. Moreover, Web-Link II will send e-mails or text messages based upon specified events.
HAI Web-Link II runs as a Windows Service in the background on a Windows 2000, XP Professional, or Windows Server 2003 computer connected to a supported HAI home control system. Windows 98, Windows ME and Windows XP Home Edition are not supported operating systems. If this computer is connected to the Internet, you may access Web-Link II from across the Internet.
HAI Web-Link II offers skins to allow you to customize the look and feel of the web pages by applying different graphic and color schemes. You can have a different skin for each client computer or Windows account that is used to log into Web-link II.
Web-Link II has RSS (Real Simple Syndication) support on the Web-Link II Home Page. You can easily add custom data, such as weather forecasts, sports scores, news, personal blogs, and much more, to your Web-Link II Home Page.
Web-Link II will peacefully coexist on the same computer as HAI's Snap-Link software product.

Internet Requirements: To access Web-Link II over the Internet you must have a full-time connection to the Internet (i.e. DSL or Cable service) on the computer running Web-Link II and one of the following: - Static IP Address. A Static IP address is a dedicated IP address assigned to your Internet account by your ISP (Internet Service Provider). This address should not (or very rarely) change. You will use this IP address to access Web-Link II (via the web server) over the Internet.
- Subscribe to a Dynamic DNS Service. DNS (Domain Name Service) is a service that allows you to alias your Dynamic IP address to a static (permanent) hostname, allowing your computer to be more easily accessed from various locations on the Internet.
- Clients (which are written by third-party developers) can be used to automatically update your Dynamic DNS hostname with your current IP address, without the need to open a browser. This allows you to access Web-Link II (via the web server) over the Internet by entering in your static hostname instead of your current IP address.
