HAI OMNITOUCHPRO SOFTWARE
USE YOUR FAVORITE THIRD-PARTY TOUCHSCREEN OR TABLET
 OmniTouchPro is an intuitive touchscreen interface application for a third-party PC or PC touchscreen that provides access to security, lighting, temperature, audio/video, surveillance cameras, and much more. HAI is now allowing third-party touchscreens and tablets to control HAI home control systems!
The product has HAI default interface designs (same design as HAI’s OmniTouch 5.7e Touchscreen interfaces) in various resolutions applicable to many Windows XP tablets and Touchscreens. The default interface may also be customized using HAI Automation Studio software (part number 1126). Two Camera Servers (for 8 surveillance cameras) may be added without the need for Automation Studio software. The interface designs are available in 8 different languages. Upon purchase of OmniTouchPro, languages and their available resolutions are downloadable from HAI’s website.
Customizing OmniTouchPro’s Default Interface
HAI OmniTouchPro displays the HAI interface by default. However, the optional Automation Studio gives you complete control of the look, feel, and function of the third party tablet/Touchscreen. A customized graphic interface can be developed based on the homeowner’s lifestyle and interests through the use of Automation Studio.
Customizations can include adding your dealer logo and contact information or customizing screens to suit each individual room. You may add a floor plan graphic to the Touchscreen interface, and set up buttons that will open specific websites including traffic cameras, weather websites, and more.
You have the option to assign devices into rooms, so that the Touchscreen displays only the devices in the particular room you’re controlling, saving time and adding convenience.
Automation Studio provides a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor that allows you to create Touchscreen pages in a drag-and-drop environment, and see exactly how the page will look without having to first download the design to a Touchscreen. You use Automation Studio’s built-in Simulator to test your Touchscreen designs.
Setting up Additional IP Devices
Automation Studio is required to set up surveillance cameras that you wish to view on your third-party Touchscreen, and to configure HAI’s HAI Home Theater Extenders (HTX2s).
The HAI HTX2 works with the Touchscreen/tablet, to control your home theater equipment. The HAI HTX2 has a built-in IR library with the IR codes for over 300,000 devices and has the ability to learn new IR codes.
HAI’s Music Gateway is another IP product that can easily be added. The Music Gateway allows artwork and metadata to be displayed on the Touchscreen/tablet, and acts as a music storage/server with three independent channels. Additionally, the Music Gateway provides an HTML interface for mobile devices for remote accesss with iPhone’s, BlackBerry’s, PC’s, and more.

IP Cameras with jpg or mjpg output can be set up without the need for additional hardware. Analog Cameras, like HAI’s Day / Night Bullet Camera, require the purchase of the HAI Camera Server, in order for them to be viewable on the third-party Touchscreen/tablet.
Automate Any Room!
With Automation Studio, a customizable third-party Touchscreen, and the HAI Home Theater Extender (HTX2) you may automate any room, whether it is a home theater, corporate boardroom, or a school’s classrooms.
You can set up one button on the Touchscreen to close the curtains/shades, lower a screen, and turn on the appropriate A/V equipment.
When you add an HAI home control system to this set up, you can add control of the room’s lighting, temperatures, and more to the same button on the Touchscreen or via the TV.

Expand your options with OmniTouch. HAI offers many options to access and control your Omni or Lumina family system. Choose from one of the OmniTouch Touchscreens, including two new versions for 2007 – the OmniTouch 5.7 and OmniTouch 5.7e, or one of the consoles, keypads, or software interfaces. An OmniTouch Touchscreen can also be used to interface with an Hi-Fi by HAI Whole Home audio system.
