12VDC Fail-Secure Device
When used with Access Control Reader, the Electric Door Strike securely locks and unlocks a door without the need of a key. It allows the door to be locked when closed, but can be automatically unlocked by the system, or manually unlocked with a key.
The Door Strike is a 12VDC Fail-Secure device, which means the door unlocks when power is connected (i.e. the door is locked when power fails).
Limit Access To Designated Areas
Previously known as HAI (Home Automation, Inc.), Leviton Security & Automation allows you to limit admission to designated areas using Access Control products. When you swipe a card or key tag, you can accomplish multiple functions such as arming or disarming security and activating a door strike to open a door. Leviton Access Control has simplified wiring for residential or small commercial use – everything between the controller and the readers go over a single four-conductor or Cat5 wire, including power. Leviton Access Control cards can also be tied in to any home automation functions that the Omni or Lumina family controller is capable of including lighting, energy management, surveillance and audio.
Requires an Ethernet-enabled Omni controller that has firmware version 3.0 or higher.
