GE SECURITY RANGE-CONTROLLED RADAR PIR MOTION SENSOR, PET IMMUNE IGNORES PETS UP TO 80 POUNDS WITH NO LOSS OF DETECTION This GE Security Pet Immune Dual Technology Motion Sensor combines range-controlled radar (RCR) technology with a passive infrared (PIR) system to increase false alarm immunity by allowing it to sense human-sized objects within a specified range. Each zone is factory calibrated to ignore animals up to 80 lbs, and still detect human-size objects without any loss of detection. The sensor works like sonar on a submarine, transmitting radar signals that “ping” the coverage area, then bounce back to the sensor on the same path. Objects that are out of the covered range are ignored. The sensor determines the attributes of an object by calculating its size and distance from the sensor. The sensor is designed to use a 12VDC power supply provided by a UL Listed control panel.
