Video Indoor Station for ABB Door Entry Systems

Talk with visitors at your door, see them on-screen, and even talk room-to-room with people in your home through the ABB 4.3-Inch Video Hands-Free Indoor Station. If you have one or more cameras in your ABB Door Entry System, this hands-free station is perfect for convenient communication.

The station installs indoors and provides a link to outdoor stations, as well as additional indoor units (hands-free models only). When the station rings, simply press a button to answer. The built-in speaker and microphone provide clear audio communication, and the six touch-sensitive buttons make it easy to access other functions in the system, including triggering a door lock release, manually taking snapshots, calling a station, and more.

Option to Create a Whole-Home Intercom System

When you have multiple Hands-Free Indoor Stations in your system, you can create a whole-home intercom system. Install a hands-free indoor unit in each room of your home to enable room-to-room and broadcast functionality. Room-to-room communication allows you to call another indoor station in the home, while broadcast communication allows you to communicate to all indoor stations at once.

6 Buttons for Various Applications

The station has five touch-sensitive buttons that are pre-programmed for various functions, and one that is custom programmable. These buttons function as follows:

1. Communication: Answers and ends calls.
2. Door Opener: Unlocks an electric door lock (not included).
3. Mute: Switches off the microphone of the indoor station during a conversation, preventing the visitor at the front door from listening in. It can also be used to switch off the bell. The bell switches back on automatically after 10 hours.
4. Programmable: For a customized function, e.g. intercom, second lock control, relay actuator control for light switch or additional lock, etc.
5. Snapshot: For taking a photo of visitors at the front door during communication.
6. Settings: For configuring the device.

5 Ringtones & On-Screen Indicators

The station makes it easy to know what's going on with your system. You can choose up to five different ringtones to differentiate between various sources of incoming calls, such as your main outdoor station vs your Guard Unit. The screen also displays various indicators.

Installation Details

The ABB Video Hands-Free Indoor Station connects to the System Controller (sold separately) using two wires. Multiple indoor stations may be daisy-chained together. You can surface-mount it to the wall using its screw holes, flush-mount it using either the ABB Flush Mounted Box for 4.3" Video Hands-Free Indoor Station (42311F) or the Cavity Wall Set (51021CS), or desktop-mount it into an ABB Desktop Bracket (42311D, sold separately). After the station is wired into the Door Entry System, it simply snaps into the bracket.

Please note, in order to distribute video to multiple video indoor stations, a Video Distributor is required (model M2304, sold separately).

NOTE: Requires 2-wire connection to a System Controller, sold separately. Also requires use with at least one outdoor station that includes an audio module OR at least one additional hands-free indoor station, and at least one camera to provide video. Installation hardware not included. For indoor use only.

Every ABB Door Entry System needs at least two components: a System Controller (either standard or mini) and an Audio Module (any variation). With these two foundational components, the system can be expanded and customized as needed. Additional system components may include:

Other accessories are also available for installation and connection. Most notably, in order to build a custom modular outdoor station, you will need to select the modules you wish to include in the station, and then match the number of modules to the appropriate size Flush-Mounted Box and Faceplate. (Flush-mounted boxes support optional surface-mounting in addition to flush-mounting. When surface-mounting, a Rain Hood is also required; only optional when surface-mounting.) The screwless, snap-on design of both outdoor and indoor stations makes installation a breeze.
